The director of nursing service shall be qualified by education, experience, and demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate the work of the service. He or she shall be qualified in the fields of nursing and administration consistent with the complexity and scope of operation of the hospital, and shall be responsible to the administrator for developing and implementing policies and procedures of the service in the hospital.
