Rule 15-16-1-3.10.3 - Ancillary Professional Staffing Although the Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility is not required to have the following disciplines on staff, such services may be contractual, on a consultant basis, depending on the assessed need of the child.
1. Resource consultants: a. A child development specialist available to serve as a resource for Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility staff and parents of children served who can be available to evaluate through use of standardized and non-standardized procedures the developmental status of children; b. A child life specialist who can assist in planning and conducting individualized child development and play programs; and who can serve as a resource to the Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility staff and parents of children being served. 15 Miss.
