Rule 15-16-1-1.50.5 - Nurses' StationEach inpatient hospice shall have a nurses' station for each nursing unit. The nurses' station shall include as a minimum the following:
1. Annunciator board or other equipment for patient's call;2. The minimum areas of the medicine storage/preparation room shall be seventy-five (75) feet;3. Storage space for patients' medical records and nurses' charts.4. Lavatory or sink with disposable towel dispenser;5. Desk or countertop space adequate for recording and charting purposes by physicians and nurses;6. The nurses' station area shall be well-lighted; and7. It is recommended that nurses' lounge with toilet be provided for nursing personnel adjacent to the station. A refrigerator for the storage of drugs shall be provided at each nurses' station. Drugs, food, and beverages may not be stored together.15 Miss. Code. R. § 16-1-1.50.5
