Section 410 IAC 7-24-89 - "Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli" defined

Sec. 89.

"Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli" means any Escherichia coli capable of producing Shiga toxins (also called verocytotoxins or "Shiga-like" toxins). This includes, but is not limited to, Escherichia coli reported as serotype O157:H7, O157:NM, and O157:H-.
