Sec. 264.
(a) A machine vending potentially hazardous food shall have an automatic control that prevents the machine from vending food if:(1) there is a power failure, mechanical failure, or other condition that results in an internal machine temperature that cannot maintain food temperatures as specified under section 139 through 160, 162 through 167, 169 through 183, 185 through 191, 193 through 200, 203, 234, 236, 245 through 247, or 249 of this rule; and(2) a condition specified under subdivision (1) occurs, until the machine is serviced and restocked with food that has been maintained at temperatures specified under section 139 through 160, 162 through 167, 169 through 183, 185 through 191, 193 through 200, 203, 234, 236, 245 through 247, or 249 of this rule.(b) When the automatic shutoff within a machine vending potentially hazardous food is activated in a: (1) refrigerated vending machine, the ambient temperature may not exceed forty-one (41) degrees Fahrenheit or forty-five (45) degrees Fahrenheit as specified under section 187(a)(2)(B) of this rule for more than thirty (30) minutes; or(2) hot holding vending machine, the ambient temperature may not be less than one hundred thirty-five (135) degrees Fahrenheit for more than one hundred twenty (120) minutes; immediately after the machine is filled, serviced, or restocked.
