Students enrolling in adult education homemaking, art, industrial arts, and business education classes may be assessed equipment fees. The superintendent of education shall set the equipment fee in accordance with the recommendations of the advisory council. An equipment fee shall be based upon the cost of maintenance and repair of equipment used in a class.
