This Act shall be known as The Civil Code of the State of California, and is in Four Divisions, as follows: I. -THE FIRST RELATING TO PERSONS. II. -THE SECOND TO PROPERTY. III. -THE THIRD TO OBLIGATIONS. IV. -THE FOURTH CONTAINS GENERAL PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE THREE PRECEDING DIVISIONS. Ca. Civ. Code § 1 Enacted 1872.
In all cases where one whose material has been used without his knowledge, in order to form a product of a different description, can claim an interest in such product, he has an option to demand either restitution of his material in kind, in the same quantity, weight, measure, and quality, or the value thereof; or where he is entitled to the product, the value thereof in place of the product. Ca. Civ. Code § 1032 Enacted 1872.
Prior to the appointment of a poet laureate the board of directors of the Poetry Society of New Hampshire shall submit to the governor and council the name or names of persons whom they deem to be worthy of the honorary position. Upon the expiration of the term of the poet laureate, as provided in RSA 3-A:1, the society shall again submit to the governor and council a name or names for a successor. (a) Whenever the possessory lien upon any vehicle is lost through trick, fraud, or device, the repossession of the vehicle by the lienholder revives the possessory lien but any lien so revived is subordinate to any right, title, or interest of any person under any sale, transfer, encumbrance, lien, or other interest acquired or secured in good faith and for value between the time of the loss of possession and the time of repossession. (b) It is a misdemeanor for any person to obtain possession of
