(a) For purposes of this chapter, "person" means a natural person, living or deceased, firm, association, organization, partnership, business trust, company, corporation, limited liability company, or public entity, or any other legal entity. (b) For purposes of this chapter, "personal identifying information" means any name, address, telephone number, health insurance number, taxpayer identification number, school identification number, state or federal driver's license, or identification number

An employer shall not unless otherwise required by law: (a) Publicly post or display an employee's social security number; (b) Visibly print a social security number on any identification badge or card, including any time card; (c) Place a social security number in files with unrestricted access; or (d) Communicate an employee's personal identifying information to the general public. For purposes of this section, "personal identifying information" shall include social security number, home address

Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, "personal identifying information" means any information designed, commonly used or capable of being used, alone or in conjunction with any other information, to identify a living or deceased person or to identify the actions taken, communications made or received by, or other activities or transactions of a living or deceased person, including, without limitation: (a) The current or former name, driver's license number, identification card number
