In United States v. Wells, 180 F. Sup. 707 (D. Del.), the court interpreted Rule 7(c) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, providing that all indictment shall be a plain, concise and definite written statement of the essential facts constituting the offense charged, as not requiring that it state the exact dates when such dates are not an essential element of the offense, which, in that case, was the knowing transportation of obscene film in interstate commerce.
