Section 33-38-108 - Reciprocity
(a) Any individual holding a license in good standing to engage in the practice of professional counseling, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy or addictions therapy under the laws of another state having licensure requirements substantially similar to those required by this act may, upon approval of the board, be issued a license to practice in this state. The authority provided to the board under this section to issue a privilege to practice in this state as a licensed professional counselor shall be separate from and in addition to the authority provided to the board in accordance with the Interstate Compact for Licensed Professional Counselors under W.S. 33-38-202.
(b) Any individual holding a certification in good standing to engage in the practice of social work, addictions therapy or mental health work under the laws of another state having certification requirements substantially similar to those required by this act may, upon approval of the board, be issued certification to practice in this state.
(c) The board shall promulgate rules and regulations setting forth the manner in which credentials shall be reviewed by the board.
(d) For good cause shown the board shall issue a license or certification to practice in this state to an individual seeking reciprocity as a social worker, addictions practitioner, addictions practitioner assistant or mental health worker who does not otherwise meet the reciprocity requirements under subsection (a) or (b) of this section.
