Section 531.036 - [Repealed Effective 4/1/2025] Public Hearings(a) The commission biennially shall conduct a series of public hearings in diverse locations throughout the state to give citizens of the state an opportunity to comment on health and human services issues.(b) A hearing held under this section is subject to Chapter 551.(c) In conducting a public hearing under this section, the commission shall, to the greatest extent possible, encourage participation in the hearings process by diverse groups of citizens in this state. Hearings shall be of a sufficient number to allow reasonable access to citizens in both rural and urban areas, with an emphasis on geographic diversity.Tex. Gov't. Code § 531.036
