Section 32-934 - [Effective 7/1/2024] Disabled veterans permanent hunting and fishing licenses
(a) Subject to the provisions of K.S.A. 32-920, and amendments thereto, the secretary of wildlife and parks or the secretary's designee shall issue, free of charge, a permanent license to hunt and fish to any person residing in the state who submits to the secretary satisfactory proof that the person is a disabled veteran. Any such person hunting or fishing in this state shall be subject to the provisions of all rules and regulations relating to hunting or fishing.
(b) As used in this section, "disabled veteran" means a person who:
(1) Served in the active military, naval, air or space service and who was discharged or released therefrom under an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions;
(2) received a disability that was incurred or aggravated in the line of duty in the active military, naval, air or space service; and
(3) has a service-connected evaluation percentage equal to or greater than 30% pursuant to 38 U.S.C. § 1101 et seq. or 10 U.S.C. § 1201 et seq.
