Section 19-509.2 - Uninsured, underinsured, or enhanced underinsured motorist coverage - Subsequent action not precluded(a) A final judgment in an action for personal injury protection coverage under a motor vehicle liability insurance policy does not preclude a subsequent action for uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage arising out of the same motor vehicle accident or occurrence.(b) A final judgment in an action for personal injury protection coverage under a private passenger motor vehicle liability insurance policy does not preclude a subsequent action for enhanced underinsured motorist coverage arising out of the same motor vehicle accident or occurrence.Renumbered and amended by 2017 Md.
