Section 54710 - Authorization to impose assessment to finance specified services, streets, roads and highways(a) Any local agency which is authorized by law to provide one or more of the following services may impose a benefit assessment pursuant to this chapter to finance the maintenance and operation costs of these services: (b) Any local agency which is authorized by law to maintain streets, roads, or highways may impose a benefit assessment pursuant to this chapter to pay for the maintenance of those streets, roads, or highways.Amended by Stats. 1989, Ch. 1449, Sec. 3.
