Rule 8.1002 - Transfer authorityA Court of Appeal may order a case transferred to it for hearing and decision if it determines that transfer is necessary to secure uniformity of decision or to settle an important question of law. Transfer may be ordered on:
(1) Certification of the case for transfer by the superior court appellate division under rule 8.1005;(2) Petition for transfer under rule 8.1006; or(3) The Court of Appeal's own motion.Rule 8.1002 amended effective 1/1/2011; repealed and adopted as rule 62 effective 1/1/2003; previously amended and renumbered effective 1/1/2007.
