Section 5122-30-17 - Seclusion and restraint(A) The use of seclusion, mechanical restraint, and physical restraint, including transitional hold, shall not be permitted in any facility, except a class one facility as defined in division (B) of section 5119.34 of the Revised Code, which meets all of the requirements of rules 5122-26-16 to 5122-26-16.2 of the Administrative Code.(B) The use of seclusion, mechanical restraint, and physical restraint, including transitional hold, in facilities in which they are not permitted pursuant to paragraph (A) of this rule must be reported to the department as a major unusual incident.Ohio Admin.
