Section 1202.1 - Speed limits

(a)Roadways.

No vehicle shall be driven in excess of posted speed limits, or in excess of the following maximum speed limits, or at a lesser rate of speed than the following minimum speed limits:

Bayonne Bridge, Goethals Bridge and Outerbridge Crossing .......	40 mph	- -

(b)Plazas and approaches.

The Port Authority hereby establishes speed limits for the plazas and approaches of Port Authority vehicular crossings, as shown on the maps entitled: "The Port of New York Authority-Map of Speed Limits-Holland Tunnel", "The Port of New York Authority-Map of Speed Limits-Outerbridge Crossing", "The Port of New York Authority-Map of Speed Limits-Goethals Bridge", and "The Port of New York Authority-Map of Speed Limits-Bayonne Bridge", all dated May 5, 1960, "The Port of New York Authority-Map of Speed Limits-George Washington Bridge, New Jersey Approaches", "The Port of New York Authority-Map of Speed Limits-George Washington Bridge, George Washington Bridge Expressway and New York Approaches", and "The Port of New York Authority-Map of Speed Limits-Lincoln Tunnel", all dated April 4, 1963, which said maps shall be filed with the secretary, and directs that appropriate signs shall be posted in or on the vehicular crossings and their plazas and approaches showing the established speed limits.

(c) The executive director hereby is authorized to reduce the speed limits established for Port Authority vehicular crossings and their plazas and approaches for temporary periods when he shall deem it necessary in the event of construction in, on or near a vehicular crossing or unusual weather condition.
