Section 8.10.8.9 - SAFETY ASSESSMENT IN PERMANENCY PLANNINGA. The overriding concern throughout the life of a permanency planning case shall be the safety of the child. PSD shall be responsible for the continued assessment of the child's safety until case closure and shall determine: (1) whether or not the responsibilities for care and protection of the child have been met by the parent, guardian or custodian; and(2) if the child can safely return home to the parent, guardian or custodian.B.
