Section 8:43E-10.10 - Interagency sharing and use of confidential information

(a) Information received by the Department or the Department of Human Services, as applicable, shall be shared with the Attorney General, who may use the information in accordance with 26:2H-12.2 3 through 12.25.

(b) Information derived from confidential reporting that is used for oversight of health care professionals shall be maintained as confidential and shall not be subject to discovery, admissible as evidence, or otherwise disclosed in any civil, criminal or administrative action or proceeding, and shall not be considered a public record under P.L. 1963, c. 73 (47:1A-1 et seq.) or P.L. 2001, c. 404 (47:1A-5 et seq.)
