Section 18:24-4.3 - Tax on purchase or use of certain items

(a) The purchase or use of the following items is subject to tax, unless otherwise specifically exempted, notwithstanding any use or intended use in production.

1. Supplies;

2. Tools;

3. Motor vehicles;

4. Parts with a useful life of one year or less. In determining whether a part has a useful life of one year or less, the purchaser's own treatment of the item for accounting purposes should be taken into consideration; and

5. Natural gas distributed through a pipeline, electricity, and utility service.
