Section 17:30A-1.1 - Purpose and scope

(a) This chapter implements the Jake Honig Compassionate Use Medical Cannabis Act, N.J.S.A. 24:6I-1et seq. (Act).

(b) This chapter is applicable to:

1. Persons seeking to register and/or who register with the Cannabis Regulatory Commission (Commission) as qualifying patients and/or primary caregivers;

2. Physicians seeking to certify and/or who certify that a person has a debilitating medical condition;

3. Entities seeking to operate and/or operating alternative treatment centers, and their owners, directors, officers, and employees; and

4. Persons seeking to petition the Commission for identification of debilitating medical conditions not specified at N.J.S.A. 24:6I-3.
