Section 51-3-6 - Out-of-state accidents; venue

When an accident has occurred outside of the state of Kansas and the parties are subject to the jurisdiction of the Kansas workers compensation act, the county in which the hearing will be held shall be designated by the director. Applications by the employee or employer shall be considered in order to accommodate the parties in determining where a claim shall be set for hearing.
