Rule 24-111 - TEMPORARY USE OF PUBLIC SPACE FOR MERCHANDISE, CONTAINERS, AND OTHER ARTICLES
111.1

No person shall leave any goods, wares, or merchandise either in or upon any street, avenue, alley, highway, footway, sidewalk, parking, or other public space in the District for a period longer than two (2) hours, except as provided in this chapter or in chapter 2 of this title.

111.2

Whenever a sidewalk space is used temporarily for handling goods, a clear passageway for pedestrians shall be left at least ten feet (10 ft.) wide on business streets, and six feet (6 ft.) wide on residence streets.

111.3

No empty bottles stored in crates or otherwise, and no empty crates, baskets, buckets, tubs, cans, boxes, kegs, cartons, or barrels, shall be allowed to remain in or upon any public space.

111.4

No wood shall be sawed or split in or upon any public space.
