Section 5.13 - Applicability of 606 CMR 5.00
(10)606 CMR 5.00 reflects basic standards for the operation of placement agencies. Licensure by the Department of Early Education and Care shall not relieve agencies of their obligation to comply with any other applicable international treaties, state or federal statutory or regulatory requirements or requirements set forth in their contracts with referral sources. Whenever possible, these other statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements shall be construed in a manner that is consistent with 606 CMR 5.00.
(2) If any provision contained in 606 CMR 5.00 or the application thereof is held invalid to any person or circumstance, the remainder of 606 CMR 5.00 and the application of the provision in question to other persons not similarly situated, or to other circumstances, shall not be affected thereby.
(3) Any license or approval in effect immediately prior to the effective date of 606 CMR 5.00 shall, notwithstanding its expiration date, remain in effect, unless suspended or revoked, until a new license or approval is issued or expressly refused or revoked under 606 CMR 5.00.
