Rule 3.6 - Settlement and Dismissal of Civil or Family Actions; Sanctionsa. Settlement and Dismissal: After a civil or family law case has been set for trial and the parties have announced settlement without presenting a final judgment to the court, the case shall be placed on the Dismissal Calendar and shall be dismissed without further notice on a day certain, 60 days thereafter, unless before such date, a final judgment is filed and docketed, or upon motion of any party, the court resets the case for trial.b. Sanctions; Payment of Jury Fees: If a case has been settled and counsel neglects to notify the court in sufficient time to excuse the jury from attendance, sanctions may be imposed.Adopted Aug. 30, 2017, effective 1/2/2018.
