Section XI-4931 - [Effective until 11/11/2024] Continuation of Health CoverageA. The commissioner of Insurance hereby suspends R.S. 22:1046. In furtherance thereof, a health insurance issuer who has issued a group health insurance policy shall provide to all members or certificate holders under said group policy the option for the continuation of coverage, which said option shall begin on the day after the end the expiration of Emergency Rule 49 as provided for in §4949. This section is only applicable in those situations where the employer to whom the group policy had been issued remains in business and continues to offer said group health insurance to active employees for the duration of Emergency Rule 49.La.
