Sweeney
v.
American Railcar Industries

Before the Arkansas Workers' Compensation CommissionNov 21, 2005
2005 AWCC 233 (Ark. Work Comp. 2005)

CLAIM NO. F500528

ORDER FILED NOVEMBER 21, 2005

Upon review before the FULL COMMISSION, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.

Claimant is not represented by counsel, but appears pro se.

Respondent represented by Honorable Eric Newkirk, Attorney at Law, Little Rock, Arkansas.

ORDER

This matter is presently before the Commission on respondents' motion for an extension of time to file brief. After consideration of the respondents' motion, the claimant's objection thereto, and all other matters properly before the Commission, I find that the respondents' motion should be granted.

The original briefing schedule set a due date for respondents' brief on November 23, 2005. Respondents filed a written request for an extension to file brief with the Commission on November 16, 2005, advising that their case workload is unusually heavy, with the preparation of other Full Commission briefs, as well as, numerous hearings and out-of-town travel. Respondents have established good cause for an extension. Accordingly, I find that the respondents' motion should be granted and the Clerk of the Commission should establish a new briefing schedule.

IT IS SO ORDERED.
