Oregon v. Corvallis Sand & Gravel Co., 429 U.S. 363, 372-374 (1977); Shively, 152 U.S. at 49-50. Thus, when Nevada was admitted to statehood in 1864, Nevada acquired sovereign authority over all navigable waters and underlying lands within its borders.
