In response to Appellants' main brief, Respondents filed a three-paragraph Respondents' brief, adopting the statements made in Respondents’ brief in the companion case of Connolly v. Long Island Power Authority, APL-2016-0207, and explaining that, for present purposes, the facts and legal issues in this case are identical to those in Connolly, which appeal is to be calendared with this one. In view of the nature of Respondents' brief, Appellants adopt the statements made in the Connolly appellants' reply brief filed April 10, 2017, and respectfully urge reversal for the reasons discussed therein and in Appellants' main brief. 2 CONCLUSION Based on the foregoing, the Court should (1) reverse the order of the Appellate Division, Second Department dated July 13, 2016 and (2) dismiss the amended complaint in its entirety as against defendants-co-appellants Long Island Power Authority, Long Island Lighting Company, and National Grid Electric Services LLC.
