Uri Landesman Criminal Docket No. 16-640 (BMC) Dear Judge Cogan: The government respectfully writes, jointly with counsel for the late defendant Uri Landesman, to request that the Court release to Landesman’s estate, via Dean Grayson, Executor, the $100,000 in cash bail that Landesman deposited with the Court in the above- captioned matter. On December 19, 2016, the Honorable Lois Bloom, U.S. Magistrate Judge, set Landesman’s bail at $2,000,000, $100,000 of which Landesman deposited in cash with the Court on December 20, 2016. As the Court is aware, Landesman died on September 14, 2018 and, on the joint motion of the government and counsel for Landesman, on October 25, 2018, the Court entered an order dismissing the above-captioned indictment as to Landesman. See ECF Docket No. 420. The government now respectfully requests, jointly with counsel for Landesman, that Case 1:16-cr-00640-BMC Document 592 Filed 03/13/19 Page 1 of 2 PageID #: 8155 2 the Court enter the enclosed proposed order releasing the $100,000 in cash bail to Mr. Grayson for the benefit of Landesman’s estate.
