Union Win Rate Increases

In 2000 (the most recent period for which statistics are available), unions won 52.1% of the more than 2,800 elections conducted by the Labor Board, up from a 51.3% win rate during 1999. Union organizing was strongest in the healthcare and service industries, where unions had 64% and 67% win rates, respectively. The union win rate is rising as unions pick more vulnerable targets and sharpen their organizing skills. Under those circumstances, supervisory training and "issues" audits - so your workplace becomes an "issue free" workplace - are critical.
