Great-West Life & Annuity Ins. Co. v. Am. Econ. Ins. Co. (D. Nev., Jan. 9, 2015)
A “professional services” exclusion in a CGL policy barred coverage where a healthcare management services company, whose services included selecting, reviewing, and ensuring the quality of medical services, attempted to make a claim. It was held that despite many of these services being administrative in nature, they were “professional services” because these activities required specialized training and medical skills.
