The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will host a workshop on November 16, 2015 in Washington, D.C. to examine the privacy issues related to the tracking of consumers’ activities across their different devices for advertising and marketing purposes, a practice known as “cross-device tracking”. ECJ Data Security Byte

According to a recent report released by the Identity Theft Resource Center, of the 783 reported data breaches in the United States in 2014, 42.5% of the breaches were in the medical and healthcare industry, and 33% were in the business sector. Hackers often opt for the medical and healthcare industry because medical information is worth roughly ten times more than credit card numbers on the black market. Click here.
