R-37f^ and R-7723, Respectively SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION- AND - DIRECTION OF RUN-OFF ELECTION June 10, 1942 On May 4, 1942, the National "Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election=by secret ballot was conducted on May 26, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Twelfth Region (Milwaukee, Wisconsin)-. On May 27, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations- Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Elec- tion Report on the ballot. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. - As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director reported as follows : Total on eligibility - list ------------------------------------- 188 Total ballots cast------- ------------------------------------ 171 Total ballots challenged------------------------------------ 0 Total blank ballots----------------------------------------- 0 Total void ballots------- ------------------------------------ 0 Total valid votes counted----------------------------------- 171 Votes cast for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, A. F. of L------------------------------------------------ 83 Votes cast for Porcelain Workers Union of Sun Prairie-------- 81 Votes cast for neither-------------------------------------- 7 Although none of the competing labor organizations received a ma- jority of the votes cast, the results of the election show that a substan- tial majority of employees voting desire to bargain collectively with the Company. B., No. 157. 898 WISCONSIN PORCELAIN COMPANY 899 the eligible employees will be given an opportunity to decide whether they desire to be represented by Porcelain Workers Union of Sun Prairie or by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, A. F. of L., for the purposes of collective bargaining. DIRECTION OF RUN-OFF ELECTION By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, Na- tional Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, it is hereby DIRECTED that, as part of the investigation to ascertain representa- tives for the purposes of collective bargaining with Wisconsin Porce- lain Company, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, an election by secret ballot shall be conducted as soon as possible, but not later than thirty (30)' days from the date of this Direction under the direction and supervi- sion of the Regional Director for the Twelfth Region, acting in this matter as agent for the National Labor Relations Board, and subject to Article III, Section 9, of said Rules and Regulations, among the employees described in the Direction of Election issued on May 4, 1942^ but excluding those who have since quit or been discharged for cause, to determine whether they desire to be represented by Porcelain Work- ers Union of Sun Prairie,' or by International Brotherhood of Elec- trical Workers, A.
