AMENDMENT TO SECOND DIRECTION OF ELECTION
May 3, 1940
On February 1, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board , herein
called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the
above entitled proceedings.' On February 19, 1940, the Board issued
an Amendment to its Direction, of Election.2 On April 8, 1940, the
Board issued a Supplemental Decision and Second Direction of
Election ,3 directing that a run-off election be held within thirty (30)
days from the date of the Second Direction, under the direction and
supervision of the Regional Director for the Twenty-first Region
'(Los Angeles, California). The Board, having been advised by
the Regional Director that a longer period within which to hold the
election is necessary, hereby amends the Second Direction of Election
issued on April 8, 1940, by striking therefrom the words "not later
than thirty (30) days from the date of this Direction of Election"
and substituting therefor the words' "not later than sixty (60) days
from the date of this Direction of Election."
