R-2604 and 1Q-2605 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES July 25, 1941 On June 16,1941 , the National Labor Relations Board issued a Deci- sion and Direction of Election in the above -entitled proceedings.' Pur- suant to the Direction of Election , an election by secret ballot was con- ducted on July 8, 1941 , under the direction and supervision of the Act- ing Regional Director for the Seventh Region (Detroit, Michigan). On July 10, 1941 , the Acting Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III , Section 9 , of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended , issued and duly served upon the parties his Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. B., No. 149. 812 THE DOW CHEMICAL COMPANY 813 of all hourly, piece-rate, and day-rate employees at the Midland, Michigan, plant of The Dow Chemical Company, excluding employees of Bay City Dowmetal Engineering Lab and Bay City Dowmetal Foundry, office employees, clerical employees, supervisory employees, foremen, subforemen, and plant-protection men, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Local 12075, District 50, United Mine Workers of America is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
