Pennsylvania Greyhound Lines, et al.Download PDFNational Labor Relations Board - Board DecisionsJan 11, 194128 N.L.R.B. 1219 (N.L.R.B. 1941) Copy Citation In the' Matter Of PENNSYLVANIA GREYHOUND LINES, et al., ATLANTIC GREYHOUND CORPORATION and THE BROTHERHOOD OF RAILROAD TRAINMEN Case No. R-151 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES January 11, 1941 On January 25, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Supplemental Direction of Elections in the above-entitled proceeding, nuns pro tune as of January 19, 19401 On August 12, 1940, the Board issued a Supplemental Decision and Direction and ' Order,2 and on October 19, 1940, the Board issued a Second Supplemental Decision and Direction of Run-Off Election.3 On October 28, 1940, Transport Workers Union of America filed a motion requesting the Board for leave to intervene in the above- e4ltitled proceeding and to be placed On the ballot in the run-off election directed by the Board. On November 1, 1940, the Board 'denied said motion.' Pursuant to the Second Supplemental Decision and Direction of Run-Off Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on November 13, 14, 15, 16, and 18, 1940, under the direc- tion and supervision of the Regional Director for the Ninth Region . (Cincinnati, Ohio). On November 30, 1940, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Rela- tions Board Rules and Regulations-=Series 2; as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. ' In a letter to the Board dated December 12, 1940 , Transport Workers Union of America set forth facts similar to-these alleged in its motion of October 28, 1940, and in effect moved that the Board withhold certification from the majority representative of the maintenance employees designated at the run-off election , the results of which are here- inafter set forth.
