Case 1-RC-18237 21 March 1985 DECISION, ORDER, AND CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVE BY CHAIRMAN DOTSON AND MEMBERS HUNTER AND DENNIS Pursuant to a Stipulation for Certification Upon Consent Election executed by the parties, and ap- proved by the Regional Director for Region 1 of the National Labor Relations Board on 10 October 1984, an election by secret ballot was conducted in the above-entitled proceeding on 12 October 1984, under the direction and supervision of said Region- al Director. Upon the conclusion of the election, a tally of ballots was furnished the parties in accord- ance with the Board's Rules and Regulations. The tally of ballots shows that there were ap- proximately 87 eligible voters and that 83 ballots were cast, of which 43 were for, and 40 were against, the Petitioner. On 19 October 1984 the Employer filed timely objections to conduct affecting the results of the election. The Regional Director conducted an in- vestigation of the objections and, on 5 December 1984, issued and served on the parties his Report on Objections. In his report the Regional Director recommended to the Board that the Employer's objections be overruled in their entirety and that a certification of representative be issued.' CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVE IT IS CERTIFIED that a majority of the valid bal- lots have been cast for Local 1445, United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, AFL-CIO, CLC and that it is the exclusive collec- tive-bargaining representative of the employees in the unit found appropriate.
