Pursuant to the Direction of Elections, elections by secret ballot were conducted on March 25, 1940, under the, direction- and supervision of the Regional Director for the Seventh Region (Detroit, Michigan). On March 28, 1940, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Rela- tions Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties a Report of the Election conducted at Plant No. 10 at River Rouge, Michigan. No objections to the con- duct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. B., No. 49. 370 CONSOLIDATED PAPER COMPANY 371 of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Local Industrial Union, Local 1006, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations has been designated and selected by a majority of all production, maintenance, -and powerhouse employees of Consolidated Paper Company at Plant No. 10 in River Rouge, Michigan, excluding watchmen, timekeepers, and office, clerical, and salaried supervisory employees, as their repre- sentative for the purposes of collective bargaining and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Local Indus- trial Union, Local 1006, (C. I. O.} is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment. - Mr. WILLIAM M.
