Case No. R-1931 AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECTION August 22, 1940 On July 29, 1940 the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above- entitled proceeding' directing that an election be held among certain employees of Columbia Mills Company, Columbia, South Carolina, "to determine whether they desired to be represented by Independent Employees Association of Columbia Mills, or by Textile Workers Union of America, Local No. 253, for the purposes of collective bar- gaining, or by neither." At the request of Textile Workers Union of America, the Board hereby amends its Direction of Election by striking therefrom the words, "Local No. 253." MR. WILLIAM M.
