Blue Bell-Globe Manufacturing Co.Download PDFNational Labor Relations Board - Board DecisionsMay 18, 194023 N.L.R.B. 945 (N.L.R.B. 1940) Copy Citation In the Matter of BLUE BELL-GLOBE MANUFACTURING COMPANY and , AMALGAMATED CLOTHING WORKERS OF AMERICA Case No. R-1755 ORDER PERMITTING WITHDRAWAL OF PETITION May 18, 1940 A petition, pursuant to Section 9 (c) of the Act, having been filed in the above-entitled case, a hearing having been duly held before a Trial Examiner duly designated, the Board having issued a De- cision and Direction of Election,l finding, inter alia, that a question concerning representation had arisen among the employees of Blue Bell-Globe Manufacturing Company, and, thereafter, Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, having requested permission to with- draw said petition, and having informed the Board that a question concerning representation no longer exists among the employees of said Company, and, thereafter, United Garment Workers of Amer- ica, intervenor in the above-entitled case, having informed the Board in writing that it does not at present claim to represent a majority of the Company's employees in the appropriate unit, and it appear- ing to the Board, after due consideration of the matter, that a ques- tion concerning representation no longer exists among the employees of said Company, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the request of Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America for permission to withdraw the said petition be, and it hereby is, granted, and that Case No. R-1755 be, and it hereby is, closed. 122 N.
