The Direction of Election directed that an elec- tion by secret ballot be conducted among the warehouse employees of Blake, Moffitt & Towne employed at its Los Angeles, California, plant. Pursuant to this Decision and Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot has been conducted under the direction and supervi- sion of Towne Nylander, the Regional Director for the Twenty-first Region (Los Angeles, California) on January 31, 1938. Thereafter the said Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 1, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Intermediate Report on the election. No objections or exceptions to the Intermedi- ate Report have been filed by any of the parties. F. of L_____________ 29 Total number of votes for neither of above unions______________ 6 Total number of blank ballots_________________________________ 0 Total number of void ballots____________________________________ 0 Total number of challenged ballots______________________________ 0 By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela- tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations--Series 1, as amended, 14 N L R B 945 306 DECISIONS AND ORDERS • 307 IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that General Warehousemen's Local Union, chartered by Brotherhood of Teamsters, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, has been selected by a majority of the ware- house employees of Blake, Moffitt & Towne at its Los Angeles, Cali- fornia, plant as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and that pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, General Warehousemen's Local Union, chartered by Brotherhood of Team- sters, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, is the exclu- sive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
