On April 8, 1938, the Board issued an Amendment to Direction of Elec- tion.2 The Direction of Election, as amended, provided that an election should be held at such time as the Board might in the future direct. The Board hereby amends its Direction of Election, as amended, by striking out the words "at such time as the Board may in the future direct" and substituting therefor the words "within fifteen (15) days from the date of the Second Amendment to^ Direction of Election." SAME TITLE] THIRD AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECTION June 28, 1938 On March 24, 1938, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding, the election to be held within fifteen (15) days from the date of the Direction, under the supervision of the Regional Director for the Eighth Region (Cleveland, Ohio). B. 162. 921 922 NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD Direction of Election, providing that an election should be held within fifteen (15) days from the date,of 'the Second Amendment to Direction of Election. The Board, having been advised that a longer period is necessary, hereby amends the Direction of Election, as amended, by striking therefrom the words "within fifteen (15) days from the date of the Second Direction of Election" and substituting therefor the words `within twenty-five (25) days from the date of the Second Direction of Election." On June 23, 1938, Lodge No. 1329, International Association of Machinists, the intervenor in this proceeding, requested the Board to withdraw its name from the ballot in the election which the Board ordered in said Decision and Direction of Election. After due con- sideration of this request, the Board hereby DIRECTS that the Direction of Election, as amended, be amended by striking out the words, "to determine whether they desire to be represented by Local No. 710, United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America, affiliated with the Committee for Industrial Organization, or by Lodge No. 1329, International Association of Machinists, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, for the purposes of collective bargaining, or by neither" and substitut- ing therefor the words, "to determine whether or not they desire to be represented by Local No. 710, United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America, affiliated with the Committee for Industrial Organization, for the purposes of collective bargaining."
