ORDER


The complaint was filed on March 3, 2006. The offer of judgment was filed on April 20, 2007, within 18 months of the filing of the complaint. The verdict was rendered on April 10, 2008. The net verdict for the plaintiff was $45,021. Interest runs at 8% from the filing of the complaint to the date of the verdict. "Upon the rendition of the verdict against the [defendant], the plaintiff became legally entitled to have judgment entered thereon. Thereupon he became entitled to receive the money found due and justice required that he be compensated for the withholding of it from him." Ireland v. Connecticut Co., 112 Conn. 452, 453, 152 A. 614 (1930). The amount of interest pursuant to General Statutes § 52-192a is $7,565.86. After the date of the verdict, interest runs at 10% pursuant to General Statutes § 37a-3b.

So ordered.
