On April 4, 2005, it was ordered by the Justices that the Massachusetts Rules of Criminal Procedure be amended as follows:

Rule 14: By striking out the word "Commonwealth" in rule 14(a)(1)(A)(vii) and Rule 14(a)(1)(A)(ix) and inserting in lieu thereof the following word: — party;

Rule 14(a)(1)(B): By striking out the word "use" as it first appears in Rule 14(a)(1)(B) and inserting in lieu thereof the following: — offer;

Rule 14(a)(1)(B): By striking out the word "use" in its second appearance in Rule 14(a)(1)(B) and inserting in lieu thereof the following word: — call;

Rule 14(a)(1)(D): By striking out the words "and (v)" in Rule 14(a)(1)(D).

It was further ordered that the amendments accomplished by this order shall take effect on May 1, 2005.
