MECHANICS' LIEN, § 20 — lien denied where proposed building prohibited by city ordinance. Where plaintiff drew plans for defendant for the erection of a restaurant on a vacant lot, which project was abandoned by defendant, and plaintiff sought to establish a mechanic's lien on the lot, and the evidence showed the proposed type of building was prohibited by city ordinance, plaintiff was not entitled to a mechanic's lien.

Appeal from Circuit Court of Cook county; Hon. STANLEY H. KLARKOWSKI, presiding.
Reversed and remanded with directions. Heard in first division, first district, this court at October term, 1941.
