In J. D. B. v. North Carolina (2011) 564 U.S. ___ (J.D. B.), the United States Supreme Court held a child's age "properly informs" the custody analysis under Miranda v. Arizona, supra, 384 U.S. 436 (J.D. B., supra, at p. ___ [131 S.Ct. at pp. 2398-2399]), "[s]o long as the child's age was known to the officer at the time of the interview, or would have been objectively apparent to any reasonable officer" (id. at p. ___).
