Appeal from Superior Court, City and County of San Francisco; Franklin A. Griffin, Judge.

Mandamus proceeding by P.G. Allen and others against Howard M. McKinley and others, as Civil Service Commission of the City of San Francisco, its secretary and personnel director, to require respondents to hold a promotional examination instead of an open one for the purpose of creating an eligible list for positions in the Civil Service of San Francisco in the Tax Collector’s office, designated as adjuster, Class G153. From a judgment directing the issuance of a writ of mandamus commanding respondents to hold a promotional examination, the respondents appeal.

Affirmed.
